Dear Parent/Carer,

As the Headteacher, I would like to welcome you and your child. I hope this prospectus will provide you with the information you need about our school.

At our school we work together to create an environment where the children in our care can thrive mentally, physically and spiritually. This can only be brought about through the mutual trust of everyone - teachers, parents, children and governors. When your child begins his or her education with us, we all enter into a partnership which relies on everyone's co-operation. Therefore communication is vitally important. If you are at all concerned about any aspect of your child's life at Shoscombe C.E.V.A. Primary School, then please do not hesitate to contact me or your child's teacher. Similarly, if we have any concerns we shall contact you. To help this process, I operate an open-door policy whereby I endeavour to make myself available to parents whenever possible, though a call to make an appointment will always be appreciated.

It is my firm belief that every child has the right to receive the best education possible and my very real intention i.s to provide that standard of education. The staff and I look forward to a happy partnership with you so that your child's years here may be happy and fulfilling.
